Built for Stillness, Space, and Simplicity

What began as one family cabin on Bear Branch Road is now a collection of thoughtfully designed micro-resorts across Red River Gorge, made for couples and groups who want to reconnect without distractions.

Our Story: Rooted in the Red River Gorge

At Bear Branch Cabins, we believe your time away should feel intentional, like it was made just for you. We started this collection of cabins not as a business venture, but as a way to reconnect with what matters most: stillness, space, and simplicity. What began as one family cabin on Bear Branch Road has grown into a curated set of micro-resorts across Red River Gorge, each built with care, purpose, and a love for natural materials and clean design. Today, we offer stays for couples seeking reconnection and groups looking to gather without distractions. Whether you're here for romance, retreat, or reunion, this land and these cabins were made to host something meaningful.

Our Approach to Hospitality

Every detail, from the land to the layout, is designed to help you slow down and feel at home.

  • Sandstone rock arch seen from below against a blue sky, framed by trees

    Nature First

Cabins built to frame the outdoors, not distract from it.

  • Bright cabin living room with dark ceiling beams, a fireplace, a round dining table and a glass garage door to the deck

    Design That Calms

Modern-rustic touches, simple layouts, and cozy details.

  • A-frame cabin on a wooded hillside above a lake, with a pedal boat on the water

    Hosting With Purpose

We live here. We know the land. We're selective, so every stay gets our full attention.

  • Snow-covered rooftop deck with a dining set and wicker sofas at sunset among snowy pines

    Built for Real Rest

No clutter, no chaos. Just trails, firelight, and room to breathe.

Why Bear Branch Cabins

This isn't just where our cabins sit. It's where we live, hike, unwind, and build, in one of the most beautiful corners of the eastern U.S.

Iconic Natural Beauty
The Red River Gorge is home to some of the most striking scenery in the eastern U.S., from towering sandstone arches to forest trails and secret swimming holes. It's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and look a little closer.

Off the Beaten Path
While much of the country gets busier, the Gorge stays refreshingly uncrowded. Our cabins give you a quiet base to explore it from, far from the noise and the crowds, with nature right outside your door.

Hosted by Locals
We don't just rent cabins here, we live here. We hike these trails, know the hidden spots, and build every stay with care. When you book with us, you're welcomed by people who genuinely love this land and want to share it.

What Our Guests Are Saying

  • “We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great, the aesthetics and décor were beautifully done, and the space felt so warm and inviting. We definitely recommend and hope to return soon!”

  • “We had a wonderful time at White Pine. The cabin was very clean, peaceful, and extremely well maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and we would absolutely stay here again. The downstairs area was a little dim at night, so adding a bit more lighting could be helpful for future guests. Some shades or curtains over the front door and windows would also be a nice addition. Overall, it was an amazing stay and definitely one of the best cabins we’ve ever visited!”

  • “Absolutely loved this cabin! Was in a secluded area, but still close enough for going out and finding things to do. Loved the hot tub and outdoor area! Will for sure be coming back in the future!”
